The company voluntarily dissolved because
UK's Tax Office (HMRC) obtusely abandoned their free
web based account filing service to pay Corporation
Tax.
(For years HMRC annoyed British companies, first
forcing abandonment of paper forms before their PDF
form was anywhere near ready for use. Then with their
awful Version 1-7 adobe based PDF at snail speed,
Then HMRC finally replaced that: Got a much better
web based system. We & others reported bugs, it
improved, was fully usable, was free for users of all
operating systems. Then HMRC arrogantly abandoned
that too!)

Then HMRC insisted all companies must purchase
commercial software to file to pay tax, even simple
micro company.
We assumed HMRC would also be just
Microsoft
based No Unix/ Linux/ or Source Code or public
interface library definition. (we didn't waste time
checking that too, foregone conclusion base on bitter
past experience of HMRC incompetence.)

& clients are strong proponents of Free Source Code
- HMRC incompetence & insistence on purchase of commercial binary only software was an insult to our core
ethos
- We have not bought commercial software in
decades, Fully legally. (We use
free
& give away
software free. We just charge for custom software
written to requirements. )
- We had no need to pander to HMRC, No particular
need to remain UK based,
- No need to suffer the incompetence of HMRC,
So we closed the UK company.

driven from the UK with its incompetence ?
How much tax revenue has HMRC deterred from the UK by
incompetence ?

Just not through the VSL shell that HMRC killed
- We may or not open new company/ies elsewhere; &/ Or
trade as individual computer consultants perhaps
[sub-]contracting to others & clients, filing tax in
other countries we choose, not burdened by UK's dinosaur HMRC.
